How ARC Terminal works
At a high level, the product sits between the user, an AI interface and external onchain data. Its value is not simply “having a chatbot.” The differentiator is giving the AI structured wallet and portfolio context that can be used during analysis.
According to Zerion, ARC Terminal integrated its wallet positions and portfolio endpoints instead of maintaining separate blockchain indexers. Zerion supplies normalized Token balances, decoded DeFi positions, metadata and real-time pricing through one integration. What is independently clear: the Zerion integration is documented by the API provider. Broader claims about memory, storage, privacy and agent execution should still be checked against current official technical documentation.
What is ANIMA?
ANIMA is the conversational AI assistant inside ARC Terminal. It appears to serve as the main intelligence layer for user conversations, research, crypto insights and contextual assistance.
Campaign pages describe ANIMA as “emotionally intelligent,” able to remember context and learn a user’s goals. That phrase should be read as product positioning, not evidence that the system experiences emotions or possesses consciousness. A practical interpretation is that the assistant may use conversation history, preferences or structured user context to produce more personalized responses. [4]
ANIMA and Smart Agents are not the same thing Important distinction
ANIMA is best understood as the conversational and analytical entry point. Smart Agents are described as separate automation tools that may carry out defined tasks, such as a recurring purchase strategy, within user-set rules.
That distinction matters because asking an AI to analyze a portfolio is a different risk category from authorizing software to sign or submit a transaction.
How does ARC Terminal use wallet data?
ARC Terminal’s portfolio suite is designed to read public onchain information associated with connected wallet addresses. Zerion says the system can surface holdings across Solana, Ethereum, Base and supported EVM chains, including Token balances, decoded DeFi positions and dollar-denominated values. [3]

Reading a public wallet address is not the same as receiving a seed phrase. Public balances and transactions are already visible on a blockchain. The more sensitive step is transaction authorization: an app or agent may ask for a wallet signature, session permission or spending allowance before it can perform an action.
Never share a seed phrase or private key. Confirm the official domain, read every wallet prompt, inspect Token approvals and place strict limits on any session or agent that can execute transactions.
What do the privacy claims mean?
ARC Terminal campaign materials use terms such as decentralized storage, encrypted memory, Sovereign Mode and verification receipts. These terms point toward a product goal: giving users more control over AI history, data storage and proof of agent activity. [4] [5]

Zerion publicly documents the multichain data integration, but that case study is not a security audit of ARC Terminal’s storage or wallet architecture.
Privacy marketing should prompt further questions: What data is encrypted? Where are keys held? Can the operator read prompts? Has the code or infrastructure been independently audited?
“Decentralized storage” does not automatically mean private, and “encrypted” does not identify who controls the keys. Until detailed documentation and independent assessments are available, these protections should be treated as product claims rather than proven guarantees.
